vehicle property to our charity will need to make sure that the
contribution has a free and clear title to go with it. If no title is
available, it is important to get a replacement title so the donation
process can be completed in a safe and legal manner. Our charity
requires that a vehicle have an engine, running or non running, and four
tires that can hold air. Keys belonging to the vehicle must be turned
over upon pick up as well. Vehicles missing any of these major
components may be turned down for donation.
Our charity can also help those wanting to donate boat or boat like
watercraft as well. Although some aspects may vary, guidelines for
donating boats are generally no different than that of cars. Donated
boats or watercraft vehicles may require an individual to provide a
trailer to go with them. Other times, the charity may provide a trailer
of its own. Upon pick up of the car or boat, the donor is left with a
receipt that serves as proof of their contribution when they do their
taxes the following year.
